Elisabeth played Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn on Law and Order from 2001-2005. The character made a dyketastic exit when Elisabeth left the series. The District Attorney (played by Fred Thompson) fired her and she asked if it was because she was lesbian. He assured her it wasn't but in that moment I swear I heard lesbians around the country shout for joy. There had been no mention of her sexuality up to that point so I think it was a little bit of a half-assed attempt to work a gay character in the show. But I'll take it because Elisabeth is hot.
On a side note, I have heard unconfirmed rumors that although Elisabeth is engaged to man, she is bisexual. A dyketastic friend of mine met a very drunk Elisabeth in a bar and says she got a kiss or two. But one of Elisabeth's friends quickly got rid of her photographic evidence. I'd like to think my friend is telling the truth and Elisabeth enjoys a lady every now and then, but since I don't know for sure I guess I can only dream. But it's such a pretty dream.
